Relation Between Education And Islam
Education and Islam are two fields which cannot be separated. Both of them can make people become a perfect person and get a better life. Education is a process to transfer information which is received by each individual from other so can be inspire the way of thought and the way of behaving or habitual action for themselves and relation with god, other people and environment. With education people will have skill and individuality. Skill and individuality is process which must be thought by people to become a man who has quality of physic and the way of thinking. Education not only a process to transfer knowledge but also to transfer value of religion, social, and culture. Education is the knowledge of putting one’s potential to maximum use without education nobody can find the proper right path in this world.
Basically, education is very important because two reason. The first is education makes a man be a right thinker , without education no one can think properly in appropriate context. It tell man how to think and how to make decision. The second reason is for the important of education, man is enabled to received information from the external world. It is well said that without education man is as through in a closed room and with education he find him self in a room with all it’s the window open toward outside the world.
Education not only a process to transfer knowledge but also to transfer value. So that a thing resulted people become a man , who not only smart but also ha good moral or character. Our god said in holy Q.S. Al Mujadilah verse: 11 ” is individuality and high status would be gotten by human with the knowledge and faith.” From that verse we can understand that between Intellectual Questions and Spiritual Question became utility to achieve the great purpose. The concept of Islam, education has the high position and very important. With education we can develop our thinking about how can we become a perfect man. Human with all weakness in themselves cannot understand what is Islam and how to do it, and without helping and counseling from the other people and further can guide them selves as hoped in Islam. Based on believing in mouslem and confirmation from our god is one religion which get “ridha” of God and was commended for human to be convinced or believe it, but people especially for mouslem cannot do it without education, because of that Islam and Education have relation that very close.
That relation is like purpose and instrument. Islam is the purpose an Education is the instrument . in order words c an say to become a truth Islam we must trough the process , the process is education. People can know and understand what is islam what is the essential of islam, what is the purpose of islam, how van we we do the all off commanded of islam, all of them we can get through education . therefore we recognize term islamic education . islamoc education is need as a effort in development of thought, emotional, arrangement, relation human with this world, and how can human use this world so able to achieve the purpose of life of human being and how to realize it, all of that idea has drawn integrally in a basic concept. Islam has offered belief concept which obligatory to believe it, so in ourselves grow up feeling which pull to do a normative action the action which we mean is slaving human based on understanding and purpose of creating human. Therefore, the goals of education in islam should in accordance with purpose is delivered for human. Islam come to the world to guide human in achieve their happiness. In Islam mind has duty to search universe with helping sense so that knowledge and technology developing and give result for human being.
Developing of mind bring human to get progress of knowledge and technology for pleasant their life in thee world. Developing heart bring happiness in the hereafter. So in human life education and knowledge about religion (islam) must be balance.
